Stop making plans!!!! I know you must be saying, “who are you to say that”. Listen, there are days where you just feel like drowning because nothing goes your way. Or you feel confused about being rejected from a job position or a relationship. You work so hard to stabilize your life but the more you take a few steps forward something happens that causes you to take more steps back. You feel out of order because you are grieving something or someone that you’ve lost with no apology even while expecting a return. And you start searching and looking for what’s been lost and never find it.

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. PROVERBS 16:9 (NIV)

Ask me how I know. Trying to be perfect in an imperfect world. Staying optimistic where hopelessness is everywhere. And yes, being a Christian trying to stay afloat with so much discouragement surrounding you just makes it harder. But one thing I have is hope. And when things really start to get worse, that’s when God steps in. That’s when we have to depend on his promises and BELIEVE that he will make a way out of no way.

On the 1st of July, a woman’s Facebook group called The Restored Woman started a 40-day prayer challenge based on the book titled; Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson. Today is day 2 of the challenge and already my doubt has been replaced with anticipation. My fear has been restored with assurance. And my worries regained with courage.

We may make so many plans on our life and our future but only God is able to make us truly live our life and live it to our greatest potential. When God gives you an opportunity to sit and meditate on his word, seize the opportunity. It will change your life.
