In order to go to the next level and succeed, you have to take care of “SELF” first. Here are six steps to help you go to the next level.
-
Read ~ I’m a bookworm so grabbing a book from one of my bookshelves or opening my Kindle reader is not hard. But not everyone is like that. So, choose a book and just start reading for 15 minutes. When you make this a habit you will soon start looking for more time to read.
-
Affirm~ Affirmations are a great way to start your day on a positive note. Louise Hay is a great site filled with affirmations that will help you feel empowered and uplift you at the start of your day. Make your own affirmation as well. Grab some index cards and write them down and remind yourself daily how awesome you are.
-
Vision Board ~ Now, I’m all for vision boards as long as we “act” on what we see not just look at them and keep it moving. For instance, if you have a house on your board but you’re not saving for it then it’s a waste of time. If you focus your vision on each of the images you have created on your vision board and believe that you can have it then work towards it, you will have inspired yourself. Grab a blank board from any store and clip out pics from magazines, Pinterest or online and stick them to your board for you to see daily.

Journaling ~ One of my favorite things to do is journal. There’s no greater feeling than waking up each day and writing down at least five things you are grateful for. I love the Etsy site where there are many great shops that sell journals or you can just pick one up at a dollar store. You don’t have to be a writer, you just have to jot down all of your thoughts on paper and you will find that it will relieve you of stress and anxiety.

Exercise ~ Now this is definitely not a favorite of mine. But lately, I have started Yoga at home and really love it. I also walk for 30-minutes during my lunch hour with a coworker. It’s not difficult and it keeps me balanced. It truly is a great way to start your day energized.
So, when you create the habit of being consistent in improving your “SELF” daily you will find that you matter and you will be a huge success in everything you do!
